a ruptured achilles tendon. in his loss and steps, the longtime and beloved redskin chris cooly re-signing today and passed a physical today. the head coach mike shanahan saying he hopes that cooly can hp out this week against the pittsburgh steelers. let's look back at the injury that took place in yesterday's game. the 26-year-old davis tore his left achilles tendon on the first try and collapsed while running his route in the end zone. his loss will be significant. davis was rg3s target with a team high 24 catches. and so chris cooly, who has been sitting on the shelf said he's in shape and is ready to go. the 30-year-old was released back on august 28th. the two-time pro bowler has 428 receptions, which rank fifth all-time on the redskins reception list and this is the head coach on the return of can't chaos. -- captain days captain chaos.

coke attempt he was in the custody of the u.s. marshal's office. the court will have to determine if he's confident to stand trial, after the own attorneys requested the rules. he's accused of dropping four molotov cocktails in the skyway on thursday. the mall was evacuated and no one was hurt. and in california, police are searching for a man who threw a molotov cocktail at another man sitting outside of a market. the police released surveillance video from outside of the strip mole on to pacific coast highway. can you see the flames erupt and is they say a man in his 20s threw it at the victim and causing him to catch fire. he was sent to the hospital with burns on his lower body, in serious and stable condition tonight. the police say there is no indication they knew each other and seemed to be a random act of violence. a medical examiner in wisconsin said the suspected gunman's wife is month the victims in the spa shooting. he slashed his estranged wife's

. some good news. the cost of filling up is going down. the survey said the average price for a gallon of regular dropped to 8 1/2 cents the past few weeks to $3.75. tulsa, oklahoma, had the lowest average price at $3.26 a gallon. san francisco had the highest at $4.51. here in our area, drivers in d.c. on average are paying about $3.81. in maryland, it's $3.64 and in virginia, $3.51. the express lanes in virginia will open soon and there is now a video to help you understand how to use them right. the lanes on the beltway mean new traffic signals, ramps, and traffic patterns. the video is designed to help you navigate safely. if you plan to help you with the express lanes, you will need an ez pass.

. he was once a world champion, famous for overcoming cancer and climbing to the top of his sport. now, lance armstrong is called a cheater. a scathing report released last week by the u.s. antidoping agency forced armstrong to leave the top post of the cancer charity and now, there is more fallout. david lee miller reports. >> reporter: the international cycling union giving lance armstrong a strong blow. >> we will strip him of his seven tour de france titles. lance armstrong has no place in cycling. >> reporter: the announcement comes after a report released last week by the u.s. antidoping agency accusing armstrong and his team of taking part in a massive doping program. allegations pointing to the hundreds of drug on tests in the past. he chose not to fight the u.s. ada, arguing the process is

biased against him. armstrong lost major sponsor endorsement deals after the report was released. nike, anheuser-busch and radio shack caught ties with him in the aftermath. armstrong, a cancer survivor, skinned down as chairman of his cancer charity in the fallout, hoping to keep the controversy from affecting his foundation. he -- sunday at a fund raising bike ride for live strong in austin, texas, and spoke briefly at the start of the race acknowledging the rough week it's been. >> it's been interesting and at times a difficult two weeks. people ask me a lot, how are you doing? i tell them, i said, i have been better, but i have also been worse. >> reporter: armstrong is in danger of losing the bronze medal. the international union board is expected to discuss that issue and to whether update other race results in light of armstrong's disqualification. david lee miller, fox news.

impression and amongst the small percentage, 5%, they will try to alter their point of view. >> let's talk about the polling numbers, there is every indication it's a dead heat. among women voters, president obama doesn't have the same support as in 2008, does he? >> he doesn't but has an 8% margin. if women were not allowed to vote, that would be horrible for barack obama, he wouldn't be in this race. having the gender gap and having women be supportive of him is very helpful overall. >> why do you explain the difference in numbers? it's about 10% from right now to 2008? >> it was about 18% difference. i think any incumbent has a tapering off of maybe the enthusiasm factor and that probably accounts for. >> depending on who you spoke, mark, the debates are important and some say not so much.

romney's performances in the last two debates have helped him out here. >> absolutely. i mean he was really out of the race. they were talking about possible landslide. if you look at the battleground states, the 12 states now it's been reduced to 9, he would -- some states double digits and now made it an even competitive race and there is a gallop poll saying he could win the popular vote and we don't know what happens with the electoral college, who wins the presidency. with debates being seen in front of 16 million people has made a difference. president obama tried to define him and now he's on the same stage, and the debates have made him competitive to. >> and -- competitive. >> sorry to erupt you, mitt romney's going to more than likely pound the obama administration over the attack. i imagine he has to be careful not to overreach.

after all, this was a tragedy, we lost our first american ambassador since 1979. >> at the last debate, he didn't score points and he wants to say the government is incompetent and i think he will also bring up the use of the word optimal where the mother of a deceased son said my son was very optimal and he's dead. that was a striking remark, and when the word optimal was mentioned, the president made, i think, a very unfortunate mistake and a poor choice of words by not renouncing the use of the word. >> the word that wind around the world. a -- the word that went around the world. the last time we will see them to on stage before the votes.

in tonight's health alert, a new studdie from the american academy of pediatrics about the merits of feeding children organic food. some serve to avoid pesticides in certain bacteria. the researchers analyzed organic produce, dairy products and meat and found there is no added nutritional value to eating organic opposed to eating conventional foods and there is no research showing harm to pesticides used to grow the food. a disturbing new studdie about high school football players and concussions. the researchers suvade more than 100 student athletes. ten% were diagnosed with a concussion. a third said they had concussion-like symptoms like headaches, dizziness, loss of balance and blurred vision. of those who suffered symptoms, more than half said they didn't tell anyone about it for fear of being taken off of the field. >> reporter: traveler -- . travelers could have a pulmonary embolism. researchers studied more than
